Union Pacific Railroad’s (UPRR) Los Angeles Transportation Center (LATC) project is the reconstruction of an existing intermodal terminal that enhances efficiencies in container movement from ports to inland distribution centers. The facility provides a more efficient flow of truck traffic through the gate and ramp. Wilson & Company provided design review and construction administration and observation services. The project included track reconfiguration, ramp concrete, drainage, office buildings, in and out gates and canopies, and a maintenance building. The Wilson & Company team coordinated with field superintendents to verify that safety, quality control, and schedule requirements were met. They managed document control of RFIs, submittals, change orders, correspondence, permits, drawings, specifications, and reports in a systematic and traceable manner.
