Steve is the president of SR Walker and Associates, Inc., a professional service consulting firm which was founded in 2005. He provides strategic planning, marketing, and management consulting, training and coaching services. SRWA has supported a diverse mix of over 50 clients including Architecture and Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) firms, public agencies and non-profit organizations ranging from a four-person Public Involvement consultant to several Engineering News Record top 20 international A/E firms; from a one-person start-up minority civil designer to one of the world’s largest heavy civil construction companies. Steve has developed coached and supported marketing programs throughout the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore, India, and Brunei.
To support the objectives of his clients, Steve offers proven, effective services and tools. His experience includes strategic planning, development of market strategies, the leadership of major sales pursuits, business development training, customer perception and image surveys, image and branding strategies, facilitation and conflict resolution.
He brings 30 years of professional engineering experience and an additional 10 years of construction and construction management experience to his operations, marketing, and project management roles. Prior to founding SRWA, Steve led the growth and development of state and regional programs for three major consulting A/E/C firms.
His results-oriented coaching style has proven effective in leading teams to success in the execution of “must-win” sales efforts with regional and national significance for industry-leading firms and helping growing A/E firms become leaders in their marketplaces.
