Our Board of Directors comprises internal and external members, with 30% of board seats held by women who operate as stewards of Wilson & Company and its stakeholders, upholding our purpose, values, culture, and reputation.
James Brady, PE
Jim joined Wilson & Company in 2000 and has more than 30 years of experience in transportation planning and design, project management, and construction management. His leadership is defined by creating an environment where everyone can experience a meaningful connection between their career at Wilson & Company and what matters most to them in their personal lives. He is committed to continuing to grow the firm through Higher Relationships, both internally and externally.
Jim has a keen eye for delivering quality projects that meet client needs and is driven by efficiency and measurable outcomes. He recognizes the unique opportunities Wilson & Company employees have to make a positive impact on people and on the natural and built environment. He is dedicated to continual learning, specifically focusing on how our firm can collaborate with our clients to achieve optimal solutions for their rapidly changing needs.
Before joining Wilson & Company, Jim worked at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), BNSF Railway Company, and the El Paso County Department of Transportation.
He is a graduate of the University of Colorado with an architectural engineering degree.
Outside the office, Jim spends time with his wife and three children and enjoys playing golf and running with friends.
James Ross
Jim has served as Wilson & Company’s top financial officer for over 25 years, managing the firm’s financial growth as it has more than tripled in size. He has also supervised the financial assessment and integration of multiple acquisitions and one divestiture. Jim has more than 35 years of experience in finance and accounting. As CFO, Jim helps Wilson & Company make a positive impact by ensuring financial stability and growth, allowing for investments in staff, technology, and sustainable practices. Under his leadership, Wilson & Company provides secure jobs and growth opportunities.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and international business from the University of Colorado, and he received his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University. He is a member of the American Consulting Engineers Council (ACEC) and is a past board member of the Association of A/E Business Leaders.
As a native of Colorado, he is a lifelong hiker, skier, Bronco’s fan, and fly fisherman. Jim attributes his success in life solely to the support of his family, his highly talented staff and co-workers, and very little sleep.
Stefany Barone
Stefany brings more than 30 years of industry experience in marketing, business development, and strategy to Wilson & Company.
Recognizing Wilson & Company as a legacy organization, Stefany aims to positively impact the firm and its future leaders by constantly taking actions guided by Higher Relationships. Her excellent leadership, mentoring, interpersonal, and organizational skills are demonstrated through building a multi-faceted team of marketing professionals and driving business development, corporate communications, and creative service efforts. Stefany advocates for all employees, recognizing the importance of diversity and the need for an array of experts in their crafts to enable Wilson & Company to work on projects that improve communities.
As a fifth-generation Colorado native, Stefany works from the Denver office. She is passionate about soccer, having played competitively for most of her life, and enjoys rooting for Arsenal, an English Premiere League team. Stefany remains a loyal Bronco and Avalanche fan and loves camping, hiking, fishing, biking, gardening, reading, cooking, and sometimes golfing.
Ryan Branfort, PLS, GISP
For more than 30 years with the company, Ryan has built a broad background of expertise from a variety of positions, including land surveyor, photogrammetrist, project manager, CAD/GIS manager, and survey manager. In his role leading Wilson & Company’s information and technology program, Ryan’s goal is to build a highly efficient and enjoyable place to work by providing employees with consistent tools and direction.
He calls on his extensive experience working closely with clients to find the best solutions to fit their needs. Ryan has degrees in Surveying Technology and Civil Engineering Technology from Kansas State University.
He is a licensed land surveyor in several states and is a. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors, and the Society of American Military Engineers.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys working on house and car projects, fishing, and spending time with his 12 grandkids.
Dan Aguirre, PE, CFM
Dan has more than 30 years of experience in planning, designing, and constructing civil engineering projects. Before joining Wilson & Company, Dan worked as a contractor while attending school before starting his career with the City of Santa Fe Engineering Department. During his career at Wilson & Company, Dan has gained diverse experience with public works projects, including water resources, transportation, architecture, and site development.
Dan has held several positions with Wilson & Company over the past 27 years, including managing the municipal services division and representing the shareholders on the company’s Board of Directors.
Dan takes pride in his extensive experience working in the urban environment, providing quality solutions for building communities and providing improved quality of life. Committed to ensuring success for both Wilson & Company and our clients, Dan has surrounded himself with an excellent staff of engineers, architects, planners, and support personnel who have completed numerous award-winning projects by combining creative solutions with functionality.
Outside of work, Dan raced bicycles for over ten years reaching the category 2 classification with the USCF. Today, he still owns five bicycles, most of which are gathering dust in his garage.
Jimmy Anderson, PE
Jimmy Anderson has more than 25 years of experience in project development and design, ranging from highways to railroads and yards to terminals. He began working for Wilson & Company in 1993 as a project engineer in Denver. His current responsibilities include managing feasibility studies, FEEDs, construction bid documents, and construction management for the Energy and VMEP business unit, and he sits on Wilson & Company’s Safety Committee. Clients include Shell, Phillips 66, Plains All American Pipeline, Rangeland Energy, Hess Oil, BNSF, UPRR, KCS, and Koch Pipeline. Prior to joining Wilson & Company, he worked for six years for TxDOT in the Houston District in construction management and design. Jim is an active member of American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Committee 1 and served as past chair of the Young Engineer of the Year Committee for Houston ASCE, former Board Member for the Langham Creek YMCA, past President of the United Methodist Men of Bear Creek and participated with Junior Achievement.
Married to his wife Stacye for 25 years, they have two daughters: Paige, a graduate of Texas A&M who is currently at Stephen F Austin in their nursing program, and Marin, who is attending OU, studying Supply Chain Management.
While growing up, Jimmy had a habit of taking in unusual pets, including two raccoons, snakes, spiders, and every stray dog that would follow him home.
Catherine Cochrane
Catherine Cochrane serves as Wilson & Company’s controller and oversees the accounting and finance department’s activities. Cochrane has over 20 years of experience as an accounting professional in various roles in the architecture and engineering industry.
As controller, Catherine plays a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting and payroll functions. Her leadership skills, coupled with an unwavering commitment to her team, colleagues, and our culture of Higher Relationships, reflect a dedication to prioritizing the company’s best interests.
C. Scott Croshaw
Scott Croshaw joined Wilson & Company as an intern in 1994 and has been with the company for the last 28 years, working with various clientele, including federal, municipal, and private industries. Scott currently serves as Vice President of Administration and Business Programs. Scott is a professional surveyor with over 28 years of technical and professional experience. He has previously served as the leader of the company’s Surveying Service Unit.
During his time at Wilson & Company, Scott had the opportunity to survey in Yosemite National Park. In 1997, the company performed surveying for the road from El Portal, CA, to Yosemite Village within the park. Due to a flooding disaster, the National Park was shut down, park personnel evacuated, and survey staff were some of the few allowed inside the park. Their mission was to create a topographic survey for the redesign of the roadway. Teams worked intensely, fighting poison oak, steep terrain, and rugged conditions each day. During their day off, they went back into the park to hike and explore the park tourist-free.
Scott is a graduate of New Mexico State University (NMSU) and has served as the Chairman of the NMSU Survey Engineering Industry Advisory Committee and Board Member of the NMSU College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council.
Scott currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his wife and two boys. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with his family.
Andrew Leifheit, PE
Andrew joined Wilson & Company in 2007 as a bridge engineer and has since established strong relationships in the Class I, shortline, industrial, and shipper markets utilizing his design and construction expertise. Andrew has been promoted to multiple leadership positions during his career and serves as the senior vice president of private infrastructure. His past roles have included holding operational responsibility for rail staff in multiple offices who perform structural/bridge design, civil engineering, construction management, and bridge/track inspection.
As a leader, Andrew recognizes people’s potential and works with them to provide the tools, guidance, and support to achieve it. This assists his broader goals for the company of providing a place where people can practice and develop their skills, contributing to a thriving and growing organization.
For several years, Andrew served as a leader in the development of strategic business plan initiatives within the rail division and across Wilson & Company. He is a Wilson & Company shareholder and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a Master of Science degree in structural engineering. He is registered as a professional engineer and structural engineer in multiple states.
Andrew spends his free time enjoying the outdoors of Colorado with his wife and four children and adventuring through the deserts of the American Southwest.
Michael King, PE
Michael has more than 28 years of experience, including 16 with Wilson & Company. During his time in leadership roles, Michael has reinforced the firm’s culture of Higher Relationships and empowered employees to grow their careers while leaving a positive legacy. As senior vice president of public infrastructure operations, his goals are to continue to grow the company, expand services and clients, and create growth opportunities for employees.
He has spent his career in the management and design of transportation projects throughout the southwest and mountain west regions. Michael is focused on building lasting relationships with clients and peers in the engineering and construction community. He builds these relationships through the high-quality customer service delivered by Wilson & Company team members, proven through innovative, cost-effective solutions and meeting challenging schedules, project after project.
He has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Utah, Colorado, Texas, Idaho, Washington, and Montana. He is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
He enjoys spending his spare time with family and friends, whether riding mountain bikes, snowboarding, hiking, or playing hockey.
Brian Spano, PE
Brian has over 23 years of engineering and management experience in design, construction oversight, manufacturing, and project delivery. Most of his experience has been concentrated on assisting municipal and industrial owners with improvements to water, wastewater, and industrial waste infrastructure in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. As a leader at Wilson & Company, Brian has been focused on developing skills of technical staff and providing operational guidance on delivering successful projects within budgets and schedules.
Brian’s leadership style is built upon trust and shared ownership with his team members, allowing all staff to share in the success and achievement of projects. In addition, he is genuine with having candid conversations with employees to ensure their goals are the company’s goals.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Kansas State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Ohio.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time running, hunting, hiking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
Justin Klaudt, PE, ENV SP
Justin Klaudt started his career with Wilson & Company in 1998. Over the past 25 years, he has worked with various clients, including federal, state, municipal, and private industries. Justin currently serves as Wilson & Company’s senior vice president of public infrastructure for the Midwest region. Justin is a licensed professional engineer and previously served as the Operations Manager for the Municipal Services group in the Kansas City office.
During his time at Wilson & Company, Justin has had the opportunity to assist communities across the country with projects ranging from ADA sidewalk improvements to multi-million-dollar interchanges. Through this experience, he recognizes all projects that improve the community are important. His favorite assignments include serving as a community’s City Engineer and providing guidance on the big picture aspect relating to public infrastructure.
Justin is a graduate of Kansas State University, where he earned a BS in Civil Engineering. He is also a member of the Engineers Club of Kansas City, the Kansas City Metro Chapter of the American Public Works Association, the North American Society for Trenchless Technology, and the Kansas City Corps of Engineers Liaison Committee.
Justin currently resides in Kansas City, Kansas, with his wife Becky and son Parker. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and introducing his son to the outdoors.
Ilene R. Colina, SHRM-SCP
Ilene Colina is a senior Human Resources (HR) executive with over 35 years of experience and a passion for people and business. She has extensive relationship experience in aligning and executing HR strategy in support of the strategic direction of organizations. She excels in understanding the employee experience and helping to shape workplaces where everyone thrives.
Ilene operates Colina Consulting Group, LLC, where she provides innovative HR solutions to large and small businesses. She executes from solid executive HR experience to implement effective, modern solutions for today’s complicated HR world. She offers expertise in mergers and acquisitions in the areas of due diligence and timely and effective integration of talent, benefits, and systems. She also has broad experience in the areas of legal oversight and compliance, policy development and communication, total rewards, employee relations, HR technology, employee engagement, learning and development, and talent management.
Over the last seven years, Ilene provided internal consultant support to Dovel Technologies, LLC, a mid-sized contractor and professional services firm. Throughout a period of significant growth due primarily to mergers and acquisitions, she shared her robust experience in bringing together HR functions and systems to support the successful emergence of the integrated company.
Ilene was employed with QinetiQ North America, a large contractor and professional services company for thirty-one years. She led the start-up of an HR Shared Services organization as well as HR systems implementations designed to position the organization for the future.
She is passionate about giving back to the HR community in New Mexico (NM). She currently serves in an advisory role for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) NM State Council. Ilene also participates in the mentorship of HR professionals through the Human Resource Management Association (HRMA) SHRM certification study program.
Edward Cordova, PE
With over 25 years of experience at Wilson & Company, Edward serves as senior vice president of public infrastructure for the Southwest region. As a leader at Wilson & Company and a civil and traffic engineer, he supervises a comprehensive staff of engineers, planners, designers, and construction observers.
He is a New Mexico State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. Edward is a licensed professional engineer in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Georgia.
Edward resides in Albuquerque, NM, with his wife, Wanda, and children, Marcos and Samantha. Marcos is a college freshman at New Mexico State University. Samantha is a high school senior and will attend New Mexico State University in the fall. He enjoys the outdoors, mountain biking, skiing, camping, fishing, and hunting in his spare time.
Marvinetta Hartwig
Marvinetta currently resides in Castle Rock, CO, and is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the AE Industry. She embarked on her journey in the transportation industry as a highway engineer with CRSS, Inc., from 1987 to 1992. She worked for Ballofet & Associates until 1994, returning to Carter & Burgess (formally CRSS) from 1994 to 2001, where she honed her skills and gained valuable experience in the field of civil engineering and transportation infrastructure.
In 2001, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for a more hands-on approach to her work, Marvinetta founded Hartwig & Associates. During her tenure as President from April 2001 to January 2016, the company expanded to more than 30 professionals. In January 2016, Hartwig & Associates was acquired by Stanley Consultants. Her leadership and strategic insights further solidified her reputation in the transportation industry. Marvinetta served as Vice President/Transportation Group Manager for the Colorado team and then as the National Transportation Market Leader until her retirement in September 2021.
Marvinetta’s commitment to advancing the engineering profession is evident in her involvement in the Colorado American Council of Engineering Companies. She held various positions within the organization, including board member, secretary-treasurer, vice president, and president. In 2006, she received ACEC of Colorado’s Outstanding Woman in Engineering award in recognition of leadership, community involvement, major projects, and technical innovations.
Kevin McMahon
Kevin offers a unique set of skills to leaders and Boards in the Engineering and Construction industry, having led a management buyout at Edwards and Kelcey, achieving superior returns on equity following the LBO through a pragmatic strategic plan focused on profitability, growth and capital efficiency. Building on this experience as CEO and Chairman of a privately held company, Kevin became a senior executive with major P&L responsibility at one of the largest public Engineering and Construction firms in the world, Jacobs.
Kevin is well-known and active in the Industry as a member of the Moles, Past President of the Design Professionals Coalition, and Board Member of The Construction Industry Round Table. Kevin has acquired/integrated approximately twenty-five firms and sold once. He is adept at developing pragmatic strategic development and performance improvement options as well as creative solutions to recurring problems. Kevin resides in New Jersey with his wife and has two children living in Manhattan.
Amy Straquadine
Amy Straquadine is the company’s senior human resources manager with over ten years of experience. Amy holds a master’s degree in human resources management from the University of New Mexico and has worked at Wilson & Company since 2014.
Amy’s leadership and dedication to Wilson & Company, coupled with her genuine concern for the well-being and professional development of employees, shine through in her daily actions, communication, and collaborative efforts. Throughout the past two years, she played a pivotal role in steering Wilson & Company successfully through a period marked by personal challenges and turbulence.
Scott Waterman, PE
Calling Denver home, Scott serves as senior vice president of public infrastructure for the Rocky Mountain region. As a leader at Wilson & Company, he influences and contributes to the success of the firm’s growth by delivering projects, building long-term client relationships, winning work, and mentoring employees. Scott’s experience includes the management of transportation staff and operations in Colorado, Utah, and California. He has extensive transportation engineering project experience for municipal, county, and state clients.
Scott possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
